Unpacking YHWH as 'Is'

In the Bible, YHWH means "I am what I am" or "I am" (it can also mean "I will be what I will be" or "I cause what I cause")

I like to re-translate it to "I is what I is", which shortens to"I is" -- or even more simply: "is"; Anything that "is" is because He "is" first.

This echoes John 1:3 which says, “All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”

And Colossians 1:17 which says, “In Him all things hold together.”
